For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Porque la palabra de Dios tiene vida y poder. Es más cortante que cualquier espada de dos filos, y penetra hasta lo más profundo del alma y del espíritu, hasta lo más íntimo de la persona; y somete a juicio los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón. Nada de lo que Dios ha creado puede esconderse de él; todo está claramente expuesto ante aquel a quien tenemos que rendir cuentas.
Sapagkat buhay at mabisa ang salita ng Diyos at higit na matalas ito kaysa sa alin mang tabak na may dalawang talim. Bumabaon ito hanggang sa ikapaghihiwalay ng kaluluwa at ng espiritu at ng kasu-kasuan at utak ng buto. Nakakatalos ito ng mga pag-iisip at mga saloobin ng puso. At walang anumang nilikha ang makakapagkubli ng kaniyang mga gawa sa paningin ng Diyos. Ang lahat ay lantad at hayag sa kaniyang mga mata. At tayo ay magbibigay-sulit sa kaniya.
